Modular Full Face Helmet with Bluetooth for Riders
The T27 is a revolutionary developmental achievement for TORC helmets. This new European-inspired design takes the modular helmet to new places in both pricing and overall footprint size. The helmet is nearly 20 percent smaller in physical size compared to the model it replaces, yet it offers equal protection to much larger and bulkier competitors. This remarkable reduction in size is made possible by major advancements in EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) technology.
Despite its compact dimensions, the T27 helmet features significant intake venting and incredible Venturi venting for the rear exhaust. The slider-based drop-down visor mechanism is reminiscent of devices that cost four times the price. The front chin bar is secured with a one-button release mechanism, fastened by stainless steel posts and a metal-on-metal locking system. The head form fit is an intermediate oval, and the shell and chin are made from a thermoplastic alloy. The liner is fully removable and machine washable.
In addition to its impressive physical features, the T27 helmet comes equipped with improved Bluetooth 2.0 technology, ensuring compatibility with Bluetooth-enabled cell phones, Android devices, and iPhones. With two built-in speakers, up to 8 hours of continuous talk time, and 150 hours of standby time, the T27B allows users to receive and send calls, listen to stereo music streaming from their MP3 player, phone, or XM radio, as well as clearly hear GPS directions. Incoming cell calls automatically override other communications, but the new call reject feature can limit interruptions.
The helmet also features a noise-canceling microphone, full-duplex communications with a DSP (Digital Signal Processing) filter, self-adjusting volume, and glove-friendly, waterproof controls. Additionally, riders can combine two or more BLINC-enabled helmets to enjoy communication from rider to passenger, passenger to rider (intercom), or bike-to-bike (2-way communications within 100 feet).
The T27 helmet is both ECE (Economic Commission for Europe) and DOT (Department of Transportation) certified, meeting the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 218. This new model represents a significant advancement in the world of modular helmets, offering a smaller, more compact design without compromising protection or functionality.
